Routing

Where quotes come from, how they are sorted, and how to read a quote card.

3 min read

For every swap, Proxen requests live quotes from the venues on Robinhood Chain and sorts them by the net amount you receive once gas is paid.

Quote types

Best splitAll venues on Robinhood Chain through the KyberSwap aggregator, split across pools when that nets moreMost trades, larger sizes

Why the number of quotes changes

Some venues only quote certain pairs or sizes. Proxen lists the ones that returned a real quote and drops duplicates that net the same amount.

Reading a quote card

A card gives the rank, the amount received, its dollar value, the gas cost and the pools involved. Tags flag what matters: Top net, Private, Pro liquidity, Single pool.

Slippage and the minimum you receive

Every quote shows the minimum you receive at your slippage. The default is 0.5%, or 0.3% in private send, and you can pick 0.3%, 0.5% or 1%. If the price moves further than that, the trade does not go through and your tokens stay put.

Approvals and simulations

When you sell a token, Proxen asks your wallet to approve exactly the amount of the trade, never an unlimited allowance. Before you sign the swap, it runs it on the current chain state. If the simulation fails, nothing is sent.

Quotes are kept for two minutes. If prices moved on, Proxen fetches fresh routes and asks you to confirm again.
