Burners

Throwaway wallets for one job, how to set one up, and the rule about seed phrases.

2 min read

Your seed phrase and private keys are yours alone. Proxen has no field for them and never asks for them.

Why a burner

A throwaway wallet you load with the bare minimum for one job: the price plus some gas. Worst case, that is all you lose.

Setting one up

  1. Add a new account in your wallet app.
  2. Send it the exact budget for the job, plus a little ETH for gas on Robinhood Chain.
  3. Retire it after. Sweep what is left back, or simply stop using it.

Burners and Proxen

Swaps and site scans never need a key: swaps are signed in your own wallet, and checks use a test wallet Proxen creates and destroys. When tasks arrive, they will only ever run with a burner you choose, and the burner key will live only on the clean-room browser running the task, destroyed with it.

Opens the app with your request typed in. Nothing moves until you sign.
